The Lord is my shepherd
David in Psalms 23 refers to the Lord as El Rohi. To understand and receive the shepherding of the Lord is to receive the peace and comfort of a loving shepherd and the assurance that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
He not only goes ahead of you to ward off danger but also comes behind with His goodness and mercy to hide and uphold you in your weakness.
