"I baptize with water," John replied, "but among you stands one you do not know."
John pointed to the problem of religion - sticking to the traditions, that make the word of God of none effect. Christ who stands amongst us and indeed dwells in us unbeknown to us, longs for us to acknowledge Him and let us be taken by Him or an adventure. Most often we are stuck with the same old religion because we are afraid of the unknown but to live is to be connected with the adventerous life of Christ who is in us.
There is nothing quite like being hooked up to the creator of the universe. It is a thrill ride.

"...ascribe ye greatness unto our God." Deuteronomy 32:3
The height of Spiritual maturity is to remove focus on man and to put it firmly on God. To ascribe to Him greatness. To praise Him without us being the center of the universe. Most of the Christian service and ministry still has man as the focal point. When we speak about giving; we emphasize that it will be so we could receive, when we speak about ministry; it is so that others would know that God is with us.
For maturity, self has to be crucified and dethroned, that we may ascribe greatness to our God alone.
Most of the complaining done by believers is because they have not ascribed greatness to the Lord. To know that He is good and mighty and that if He felt there was another situation better than where they are, that He could and would take them there.Only when we ascribe greatness to our God can we say that His judgements are true and righteous altogether.

Faith

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him Hebrews 11:6

The currency of the Kingdom of God is Faith. There is only one universal thing acceptable in the sight of God-things whose source is faith. This means therefore that no matter what we present before God; be it a sacrifice or a request, faith is not only necessary but it is paramount and vital. We can neither trust what we see nor what we feel, we must trust in who God is and what He has said. All else is non factor.
God is not limited by time or space, He is not more likely to move when our environment is more allowing or when our senses feel more spiritual. Whether we feel spiritual or not, whether it seems more likely or not; one thing and one thing only is required-FAITH. Let us not go to Him neither in presumption nor doubt. Let's humbly and firmly trust that He is God and that it is impossible for Him to lie.

This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel, "Seek me and live" (Amos 5:4)
Without Christ, men are dead in their trespasses; they are without hope and without God. Its only in Jesus that they receive life, for Jesus is eternal life.
The life of God in man requires constant dwelling in His presence. The only way to be alive spiritually is to seek Him. Prayer is not just a privilege of a believer, it is vital to their existence. It could be said, "Refuse to seek me and die."
Its important to note that the initiative of offering life is from God. He has come to give life to us who are dead. How can corpses receive anything? By His mercies He breathes life upon us and gives the gift of faith so we could receive His salvation.

SEEK ME

> Its funny that God should tell us to seek Him since it should be obvious, but its not. We seek friends, we seek our own strength and wisdom, we seek even the horoscopes all the while God is saying "seek me"

Seeking The Lord

Amos 5:4 For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek me and live

Seek me- This is not a casual look. It is compared to looking for a lost gem or a lost child. It is desperate, it is diligent and there's no room for failure.
